Itinerary:
Day 1 – Meet new friends and greet old friends as we travel today to Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Day 2 – Arrive to Rapid City, South Dakota, gateway to the Black Hills and known as the City of Presidents.
Day 3 – Tour the striking Badlands National Park as we travel the Badlands Loop State Scenic Byway. This afternoon, we visit the famous Wall Drug Store and then the Minutemen Missile National Historic Site.
Day 4 – Today, we explore the rolling hills of Custer State Park on the Wildlife Road and see the Bison Center. Then we traverse Needles Highway on an exciting, Narrated Jeep Ride.
Day 5 – See Devil’s Tower, a unique and natural wonder. Next, it’s Deadwood, South Dakota, where we walk in the footsteps of historic old west legends. This evening, we enjoy a Private Dinner and Show, served in the High Plains Western Heritage Center.
Day 6 – This morning, we visit the Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Next, we ride the 1880 Train to Hill City through scenic Harney Peak before we view the Crazy Horse Memorial. This evening, we will join together for our farewell dinner, followed by the ceremonial Night Lighting of Mount Rushmore.
Day 7 – Travel toward home, with memories of majestic peaks and mighty presidents, stopping in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Day 8 – We continue our journey home.
