Wednesday, September 15:

Today, join your fellow travelers as we begin the journey of a lifetime. Tonight, we will be staying at the Drury Inn, Columbus, Ohio. Dinner is included. (D)

Thursday, September 16:

We continue northeast today, entering New York State, with our overnight at Turning Stone Casino Resort. You will receive a $30 Free Play Coupon or $30 Bingo Dollars and a $10 dinner Meal Credit. (B)

Friday, September 17:

Following breakfast this morning, we are joined by a local guide as we travel through the heart of New England. Arrive in Bangor and check into your hotel for overnight. Enjoy a planned dinner this evening. (B,D)

Saturday, September 18 :

This morning, we travel into New Brunswick, to St. John, and board The Princess of Acadia"a three-hour ferry crossing to Digby, Nova Scotia. Once in Digby, we begin our journey along the Evangeline Trail to Wolfville, check into our hotel for the evening and enjoy a delicious dinner. (B,D)

Sunday, September 19:

This morning, we’ll visit Grand Pre National Historic Site, 14 acres of landscaped grounds which were established in memory of all the Acadians, Nova Scotia’s first French settlers, who were deported to British Settlements through-out North America. Visit Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s statue depicting the fictional heroine in his epic poem “Evangeline.” We will continue our journey to Halifax to visit the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site. This star-shaped fortification was completed in 1856 and stands on a hill overlooking downtown. Designed to block a land-based attack, this fort actually was never attacked. From here, we will tour Halifax, visiting the Fairview Lawn Cemetery. Here many victims of the tragic sinking of the Titanic lie in rest. Take some time to stroll through the beautifully manicured Halifax Public Gardens. We’ll check into our Halifax area hotel, with a special dinner planned for tonight. (B,D)

Monday, September 20:

We will check out of our hotel and travel to the enchanting seaside fishing village of eggy’s Cove for a delicious breakfast this morning. This village is quite well known to many artists for its picturesque ocean setting. Visit Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse"the only light of its kind as it doubles as Peggy’s Cove post office. Late morning, we’ll depart Peggy’s Cove traveling along the rocky shores of Marine Drive, viewing magnificent sites, the rocky coast line and pastoral beaches of this eastern shore route. Travel through Antigonish before arriving onto Cape Breton Island to the village of Beddeck where we will check into the Silver Dart for the next two evenings. A delicious dinner awaits us.( B,D)

Tuesday, September 21 :

This morning after breakfast, we’ll visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. This museum houses the largest collection of photographs, artifacts, and personal effects of the inventor of the telephone. We’ll begin our journey along the glorious Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The Cabot Trail is considered one of the most scenic byways in the world with its magnificent mountains, coastal wilderness and ever- changing seascapes. We’ll make plenty of photo stops along the way as well as visits to native craft shops. Enjoy lunch on your own in Cheticamp. Enjoy another savory dinner at the Inn tonight. (B,D)

Wednesday, September 22 :

This morning we’ll depart Nova Scotia and cross the Northumberland Strait via ferry service, arriving in Wood Islands, PEI. Upon arrival to the island, we’ll travel to Charlottetown, and check into the Rodd Royalty Inn & Suites for the next two evenings. Take some time to freshen up before enjoying a traditional P.E.I. lobster supper. (B, D)

Thursday, September 23 :

This morning following breakfast, we’ll be met by our step-on guide for a full day’s tour of this picture perfect Island. First, begin with a tour of Charlottetown. We’ll visit the building where Canada was born - The Province House. From here, tour this historic town with many of its buildings kept up to keep their 19th century charm. From Charlottetown, we’ll depart for the north shore traveling through ―Anne’s Land‖ viewing the beautiful red sandy beaches and pastoral countryside. This drive along the shore is among the most beautiful on the island. Visit the Green Gables House and Anne of Green Gables Museum. This evening, enjoy dinner followed by a performance of Anne of Green Gables " The Musical at the Confederation Center of the Arts. (B, D)

Friday, September 24:

After a hearty breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to Prince Edward Island as we cross over the Federation Bridge into New Brunswick. We’ll take a brief tour through the city of Moncton before making our way to Magnetic Hill, Canada’s third most visited natural attraction. Gravity is defied as the motorcoach seems to amazingly roll uphill in neutral! From here, we’ll visit the Hopewell Rocks. At high tide, these rocks appear to be common islands, but at low tide, you are able to view these impressive mushroom shaped flower pot rocks that the relentless tides have carved out of the sandstone. We’ll then make a stop at Reversing Falls. This phenomenon is best described when the high tides of the Bay of Fundy meet and overpower the Saint John River and force the river to reverse and flow back upstream. Then, we’ll check into the Holiday Inn Express for one night. Enjoy an appetizing dinner tonight. (B,D)

Saturday, September 25:

Following breakfast this morning we’ll journey to Campobello Island; the summer home of former President Franklin D. Roosevelt and stroll through the beautifully maintained buildings and grounds. This afternoon, we’ll travel to Mount Desert Island and check into the Bar Harbor Regency Hotel for a relaxing night’s stay. Enjoy some free time in Bar Harbor this afternoon before enjoying a delicious dinner tonight. (B,D)

Sunday, September 26:

After breakfast, we’ll visit Acadia National Park for a visit to the top of Cadillac Mountain for spectacular views of Penobscot Bay and Bar Harbor! Then, we’ll continue south to the seaside village of Kennebunkport, summer home to former President Bush. Driving into town, make sure you get your camera ready for a picture of the ornate gingerbread-trimmed Wedding Cake House. From here, travel south village of Ogunquit, named by the Abenaki Indians meaning “beautiful place by the sea.” Enjoy free time to explore this enchanting village. Tonight we’ll stay on the ocean at The Anchorage by the Sea. Tonight, enjoy dinner at one of the area’s fine restaurants. (B)

Monday, September 27:

Following breakfast, we’ll check out and make a brief picture stop at the Cape Neddick Light in York before departing. Today, we will travel to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where we will overnight at the Court-yard by Marriott. Dinner is included tonight (B,D)

Tuesday, September 28:

We continue our journey homeward today, stopping in Newark, Ohio, where we overnight at Cherry Valley Lodge. Dinner is included at the hotel tonight.

Wednesday, September 29:

We return home today, with many fond memories of our journey through the Canadian Maritimes and Cabot Trail.
